Course Details        Newcomers to the sport are welcome.  Help will be available.

The following courses will be available.

White	Approx 1.5k	Very easy;   Suitable for young accompanied        children and  older junior newcomers.
Yellow	Approx 2k	Easy; Suitable for juniors.with a little experience.
Orange	Approx 2.5k	Medium; Suitable for adult newcomers and more experienced juniors.
Green	Approx 4.0 – 4.5k	Hard

Sat 19^th December – Buck Wood, Thackley

Follow the A657 east from Shipley or west from Greengates/Calverley to Thackley.

At the top of the hill there is a junction with a set of traffic lights.  If coming from Shipley turn left, or from Greengates turn right, into Thackley Road.

Go past Park Avenue on the right.  At the next junction Thackley Road bends left – carry straight on into Ainsbury Avenue towards the rugby club.  Parking for the orienteering is on the left hand side of the road.

Sat 9^th January – Heaton Woods, Bradford

Follow the A650 south from Shipley or north from Bradford to Lister Park.

At the north end of the park turn west into Emm Lane. 

At the west end of the park turn right into Park Drive and follow it to the end.

Sat 23^rd January – Northcliffe, Shipley

Park at the eastern end of Northcliffe Park, on the A650 Bradford Road in Shipley, just south of the junction with the A6038 Otley road.

Sat 13^th February – Harden Moor, Bingley

N.B. The B6429 from Bingley to Harden is CLOSED at Ireland Bridge in Bingley.

You will need to go around via Cullingworth (from the south) or Keighley and Hainworth Shaw (from the north).

From the north:

From the A650 in Keighley, turn right onto the A6035 towards Keighley town centre and Halifax.  Go over the railway, then straight on at the junction with Cavendish St (also the A6035).  Turn left into Coney Lane, over the railway again, and carry on along Park Lane.  Turn right into Glen Lee Lane towards Hainworth Shaw.  Follow road  through Hainworth Shaw (now called Shaw Lane) and beyond to a staggered junction (just before the pub on the left) – turn left into Ryecroft Road (towards Harden).  After about 0.1 miles, the parking is on the left-hand side of the road.

From the south:

From the centre of Cullingworth follow the B6429 north towards Harden, Bingley and Keighley.  As you leave the village turn left into Keighley Road.  Follow for 1.2 miles to a staggered junction (just after the pub on the right) – turn sharp right into Ryecroft Road (towards Harden).  After about 0.1 miles, the parking is on the left-hand side of the road.
