Chris Burden as Club Captain and organiser of relay and other teams isn't always best served by our attempts to produce AA to time.  On the other hand    it would help if CSCup would let clubs know which heat they're in at the promised time
and if permission for British Relays hadn't just been withdrawn ….
So here's our attempt to be helpful

CompassSport Cup 14 March.

Put it in your diary now and please try to be there if you've any chance of being a scorer.  The venue is most likely to be Cawthorne (SYO) just off the M1 junc. 38 but it might be Formby (MEROC) beyond  the end of the M58,  depending on the draw.
Chris will need to know about your entry well before the date because entries have to be submitted on behalf of clubs so please assure him by phone or email of your
availability in good time. 
Details will we hope be posted by BOF on their website and circulated via Smartgroups.   If you haven't internet, ring someone who has (e.g. Chris or  editors of AA)

British Relays 21 March  possibly Selkirk, Scottish Borders  ?

It is beginning to look as if the British Relays will take place on this date after all.
Negotiations are under way in a "neighbouring region" not too far away,   well, 65m
You may have put off entering the Individual race if Rothbury is too far for one run.
If you still want to enter at the cheapest rate,  you can do so if you enter now  -ish.

If the relays happen, Chris will be doing his best to put teams together for a deadline probably during February.  Again, entries will go through him for the club so please make his task easier by letting him know that you would like to run.

JK Relays Easter Monday

Entries for the Individual event at the cheapest rate need to be posted now.
"posted by 15/1/04"; internet entry preferred; entry available on the net to 20/3/04
but it will cost you £15 a day by then.   (Forms sent out by BOF in November)
There may well be enough time to remind you in March Aire Affairs to let Chris know of your wish to  run in a club relay team, but by then you will have missed the second closing date for the individual which is 7/3/04.  Hence 'forward planning'.
