TUESDAY NIGHT RUNNING
In case you didn't follow the online exchange about the origins of TNR, it seems to have begun as an Aire training run on 5 October 1982 with Jack Bloor. Maurice Calvert, Pete Jones, Andrew Kelly and Dick Courchee all had memories to share from their training diaries. Jack is of course still remembered in the annual fell race and the Jack Bloor Fund. This has helped young people locally to pursue their outdoor aspirations to the tune of £7000 since it began. After the TNR from the Hills on 16 Dec a cheque for £500 was presented by Lisa Broadest on behalf of Airienteers to Pat Bloor for the Fund.
Everyone welcome to Tuesday Night Run - young, old, fast, slow. Eat together in a pub afterwards or bring food along for a communal meal if the run is from someone's house. Ring Chris for details . Venues opposite. Chris Wales 01943 872129
