AIRE should have little trouble moving onto the next round.
The Cawthorne Badge event, which incorporated the Northern Championships was part of a Yorkshire and Humberside Junior Squad training weekend, which I know several of you attended. Training on the Saturday was held on a very chilly Ramsden Moor, and several exercises were on offer, including a control pick, a bearing exercise and a 1km timed race. Accommodation was at a board school in the nearby village of Stape and the following day we went to the Cawthorne Badge event. That weekend was typical of Yorkshire squad training weekends.
